Alaska Marine Highway
Explore vast and diverse Alaskan scenery and wildlife by traveling on the Alaska Marine Highway ferry system. (There are 25 photos in this photo gallery.)
Since 1963, the Alaska Marine Highway Ferry System has served Alaskan communities within the Inside Passage and beyond, along the coastline to South West Alaska. The Alaska Ferry system allows travelers access to many ports where they can embark on bus tours to world famous national parks and Alaskan wildlife.
With an extensive fleet of passenger and vehicle ferries, travelers can begin their journey in Bellingham, Washington near Seattle and go to the end of the line in Dutch Harbor in South West Alaska. Alternatively, passengers can complete a round trip.
Many vessels on longer routes offer comfortable accommodation for overnight trips, while you cruise to your next adventure destination.
