Lakes, vineyards, mountains, rivers and desert dominate the landscape of the beautiful Okanagan Valley.
A balmy summertime destination, the Okanagan is punctuated by a series of lakes fringed by lakeside towns such as Kelowna, Penticton, and Osoyoos and many more. Wineries dominate the region with their perfect rows of vines, and patios hosting visitors relaxing in the sun. Much of British Columbia's fruit and vegetables are grown in the perfect growing conditions of the Okanagan Valley with it's ample sunshine hours and rich soil.
Winter brings snow and skiing at world class ski fields as well as many other winter activities.
Pumpkins and squash are at their prime in the fall and many of the roadside fruit and vegetable stalls offer a wide variety of these gourds with their diverse shapes and colours.
Pristine waterfalls, golf and First Nations culture are also included in my pictures of the Okanagan.
