Red Rock State Park is situated near the city of Sedona in Arizona, USA.
Encompassing an important riparian biome along the Oak Creek banks for a 1.4 mile stretch, the area was designated a state park in 1991 to protect the habitat and ensure public access.
It supports a vast array of wildlife and plant species. Mammals such as cougars, mule deer, peccary and river otters. A native fish species, the threatened mud turtle and several frog species are also protected within the boundaries Red Rock State Park. Birds such as ducks and hawks are found in this 286 acre state park.
