Northern Ontario is the part of the province that is north of Lake Huron; Red Lake is a town located northwest of Thunder Bay and is actually made up of six different communities. This is the town that the bush plane took off from in order to go on this flight over the various lakes, islands and forests that this part of the province has to offer.
Ontario is a province known for its many different bodies of water, including freshwater lakes, rivers, and streams. These various waterways are intersected with acres of boreal forest - as can be seen in this aerial photograph. Boreal forest can be found over about 60% of Canada; boreal is coniferous forest and it is comprised of trees that can stand the coldest weather and do not lose all their leaves. This area of Northern Ontario has some of the best fishing lakes in all of Canada, and people come to this region to enjoy the abundant fish and gorgeous landscape. There are over 100,000 bodies of water to choose from and parts of this wilderness are almost untouched so it looks as it would have hundreds of years ago.

I photographed this photo with the digital SLR camera model Canon EOS-1Ds Mark III, aperture of f/4.5, exposure time of 1/320 sec. on ISO 100, as always I used a original Canon Lens, the focus lenght for this picture was 27mm.
