The ancient Chateau de Puivert in the Pyrenees in France, is not as old as the original castle constructed on the site in the 12th century, when Cathars and troubadours frequented the area. At the start of the 14th century the Bruyere family built the Chateau de Puivert, which still has the look of a castle.
