The famous and longest surviving bridge from ancient times leads over the Rio Guadalquivir towards the Mezquita in Cordoba, Andalucia, Spain.
The ancient Puente Roman or the Roman Bridge of Cordoba was built by the Romans in the 1st Century BC.
Although restored and renovated several times, most recently in 2006, only two of the arches dating back to the 1st century BC remain intact, the rest have been restored or renovated.
