The back bone of the South Island of New Zealand, Mt Cook is situated in the Aoraki Mount Cook National Park in the Southern Alps.
The majestic mountain and its namesake National Park are also a part of the Te Wahipounamu UNESCO World Heritage Site.

I photographed this photo with the digital SLR camera model Canon EOS-1Ds Mark II, aperture of f/5.6, exposure time of 1/640 sec. on ISO 100, as always I used a original Canon Lens, the focus lenght for this picture was 32mm.
