A meadow of wildflowers makes up the natural beauty of the Aran Valley in the Pyrenees in Catalonia, Spain between the high mountain cliffs. Lush green trees grow along the hillsides and rocks are embedded into the landscape which make up the unique scenery around the Val d'Aran.
The Aran Valley is one of the highest valleys in the Pyrenees region which borders France on the northern side, Aragon on the west and smaller communities to the east and south. Hikers travel for miles throughout the Aran Valley in the Pyrenees in Catalonia, Spain as they breath in the fresh air and enjoy the magnificent scenery.

... the feeling of not being able to get in touch with people could be a concern for some, but those hard core backpackers loved the lack of communication around the Aran Valley and the freedom that was offered here.
Summer months around the Aran Valley in the Pyrenees in Catalonia, Spain brings many tourists to explore the exceptional landscape and scenery that makes up the area, while winter brings a new selection of people. The majority of the income comes from winter season as the ski resorts bring in tons of cash as visitors find the Pyrenees some of the most spectacular skiing conditions around Spain.
Always take your camera with you while visiting the Val d'Aran as the scenery around the Pyrenees is breathtaking.
