Stock Photo of Bald Eagles feeding on the side of a River. Bald Eagles feed on dead or dying fish but they will supplement their diet with small mammals, carrion, and water fowl when fish are in short supply. Every winter between mid December and mid February thousands of bald eagles gather on the shores of the rivers surrounding Brackendale to take advantage of the abundant spawning salmon.
