A major feature along the tourist sightseeing route - Plaza de Espana sees a multitude of visitors each day. The draw is the beautiful Moorish architecture of its buildings and fascinating layout of bridges and moats. As part of the Parque Maria Luisa, Plaza de Espana was created for the Spanish-American Exhibition which was hosted by Sevilla in 1929.
Once the sun has set on Plaza de Espana, it all but empties of visitors. By night the sounds of footsteps and chatter give way to the sounds of the beautiful large circular fountain at its heart.
