Cape Palmerston is a perfect beach and coastline to spend some time on when visiting the west coast of Northern Vancouver Island. It is accessible by car and there are a few campgrounds located in this area so visitors can camp right on the beach and enjoy the views. As it has so many rocky outcrops it is a great place to explore the wave pools and the beach amongst the rocks and see what treasures can be find.

Aside from the stunning sandy beaches, such as the one found at Cape Palmerston, it is also known for its old-growth forest, some of which can be seen in the background of this photo. It can also be a great place for storm watching as the storm and lighting can be seen far out to sea, but can be viewed from the relative safety of the beach.
