A visit to the Virgin Falls requires a long and arduous journey from Tofino but it is well worth the effort. The beautiful waterfall which plunges 53 metres is set against the remote wilderness scenery on the West Coast of Vancouver Island in BC (British Columbia), Canada.
The day couldn't have been more perfect - a blue sky dotted by puffy white clouds and the sun shining. We found Virgin Falls after about an hour or more of driving a rough gravel logging road. Set off the road, this beautiful waterfall required a short walk of 100 metres before the forest opened up to the magical sight of the falls. The sun streaming in through the trees and the falls plunging into a pool of crystal clear water surrounded by the natural wilderness scenery of Vancouver Island is what greeted us. ... continue below the picture...
Virgin Falls plunging 53 metres/174 feet in a fan formation down a rock escarpment along the Tofino Creek with rays of sunlight streaming through the trees, a transition area of the Clayoquot Sound UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada.

I photographed this photo with the digital SLR camera model Canon EOS-1Ds Mark III, aperture of f/14.0, exposure time of 1/10 sec. on ISO 50, as always I used a original Canon Lens, the focus lenght for this picture was 22mm.
