The Biodome de Montreal, Quebec is a science centre and ecological zoo that attracts thousands of tourists each year. The Biodome was used for cycling and judo events in the 1976 summer Olympics held in Montreal and is now used for exhibits that display five different types of ecosystems.
The five kinds of ecosystems on show in the Biodome consist of the Tropical Forest, Laurentian Forest, St. Lawrence Marine Ecosystem and the Arctic and Antarctic Polar Worlds. Each different habitat has specific types of animals that you would also find in their own natural environments around the world.
The Biodome is a great learning experience for children and adults of all ages and should be a stop on your list of destinations to see while visiting Montreal.
