These cows that are raised in the Bonaigua Pass in Catalonia, Spain are well adapted to the mountainous terrain as their hoofs are very tough allowing them to walk long distances. The coat of Bonaigua Pass cows is extremely resistant to the intense sun at this high altitude where they thrive on wild plants and grasses.
