During the winter months, layers of snow and ice coat the rocks and landscape of the Fitzsimmons Valley where the creek meanders between Whistler and Blackcomb Mountains.
At the base of the two mountains, a wooden bridge spans the Fitzsimmons Creek offering hikers access to the valley floor and to either of the two mountains. While wildflowers and lush flora carpet the landscape during summer the scenery is quite different during the winter months with snow and ice coating the landscape instead.
