Brighton, New Zealand is a very small town that is located along the seaside about 20 kilometers from the city of Dunedin. The beach in the town and nearby Ocean View Beach is filled with sand and it sits in a small sheltered bay which can become fairly busy during the summer months. People make day trips from the city of Dunedin to enjoy the sounds of the water lapping the shoreline while building sandcastles, swimming, surfing and having a picnic lunch.Spring and Autumn are great seasons to enjoy Ocean View Beach without the crowds where you can walk the sandy shores and hardly see another person anywhere along the beach.
