Fall is a delightful time for camping in Quebec, Canada where forests are cloaked in rich, golden colors. At the heart of the Laurentians Mountain chain is La Mauricie National Park, a destination for all seasons but at its most colorful during autumn.
A selection of semi and full serviced campgrounds are available at the La Mauricie National Park. The Mistagance Campground features unserviced sites which are adequate for self contained camping, eg for campers or RV's with their own power supply or for tenting.
Each of the three campgrounds at the La Mauricie National Park is equipped with facilities such as a fireplace and picnic table (on each site), drinking water near the sites, service buildings which house showers, wash basins, and flush toilets, dump stations for campers and RV's, and firewood is available for purchase. One campground, Riviere-a-la-Peche has sites with electricity.
One of our favourite times for camping at La Mauricie National Park in Quebec, is during the fall months when the surrounding trees are clothed in their colourful leaves.
