Looking down upon the Rio Bellos from the cliffs above, gives one an interesting view of how the river winds its way around the rock formations. The high cliffs throughout the Canon de Anisclo in Aragon, Spain can be extremely steep so watch your footing when enjoying the scenery from above.The green vegetation grows along the banks of the Rio Bellos and up the Canon de Anisclo walls as the sun sparkles down on the green water. The water drops over one small ledge into pools below and then continues on its journey to the next ledge where another waterfall is created.In some sections of the Canon de Anisclo, the Rio Bellos widens and the water flows calmly throughout the landscape while in other places, the water rages over the rocks. Crossing the Rio Bellos is easy in areas as the rocks are close enough together for jumping while other areas, the water is raging and it would be very dangerous to try and cross the river. ... continue below the picture...
... Before beginning your hike through the Canon de Anisclo, be well prepared with lots of water and snacks as it gets very hot in the summer months. The heat gets trapped between the high cliffs of the canyon making it unbearable at times and taking cover in the wilderness shade or a dip in the Rio Bellos is the only way to cool off.Canon de Anisclo in Aragon is a destination everyone traveling around Spain should visit.
