The towering rock formations of Elephant Hill stand guard at the Elephant Canyon trailhead in Canyonlands National Park in Utah, USA. The rock formations are made up of Cedar Mesa Sandstone which have been carved out by the Green and the mighty Colorado Rivers. The Needles District of Canyonlands National Park is just one of districts. Plan to spend at least a full day in Canyonlands National Park and explore some of the trails which lead past the many interesting rock formations.
