Castlepoint Lighthouse glistens in the last remaining light as the sun dips down behind the cliffs to end another day around Castlepoint, Wairarapa on the North Island of NZ. The sunset colors highlight the sky with soft tones and the bright rays from the sun twinkle off the surface of the lagoon.The bay adorns one side of the cliffs and the lagoon the other, making Castlepoint, along the Wairarapa coast, one of the prettiest places around NZ. Tourists flock to Castlepoint for a day on the sandy beaches, to fish, to explore or simply to seek out the wildlife in these waters, while others just come here to enjoy the scenery.The Castlepoint Lighthouse still shines brightly across the water and can be seen by water vessels for twenty-six nautical miles to aid them in their travels. Wander down the steps to the lighthouse where you can take a tour and then continue on to the edge of the cliffs where the scenery speaks for itself. ... continue below the picture...
