MacMillan Provincial Park on Vancouver Island is a fascinating place to visit where you will find the famous tourist attraction known as Cathedral Grove. In Cathedral Grove you can wander amongst this rainforest which is made out of gigantic Douglas Fir, Western Hemlock and Western Red Cedar trees that having been growing for hundreds of years.Trails make their way through the rainforest and visitors to Cathedral Grove snap pictures of these huge giants which are part of nature's creations. The largest of the trees in Cathedral Grove is over 9 meters around and tourists are in awe that a tree can grow to that size.Moss covers the bark on some of the trees while ferns and a variety of species of plant life encompass the forest floor. Tourists that visit Cathedral Grove should be sure to have a full roll of film with them as once you meander amongst the old growth tree, you do not realize how many pictures you have taken.Children also find Cathedral Grove fascinating as the trees tower above them.
