The little village of Espot is the eastern entrance to the National Park of Aiguestortes and Sant Maurici in the Catalonian Pyrenees of Spain. Cars are not allowed in the village, but there is a large, free car-park 4 kilometers to the west where there is a taxi service (four-wheel drive) to drive visitors to Espot for a reasonable fee.The stone Chapel bridge or Pont de la Capella which crosses the little river is aptly named because the Romanesque arch of the bridge is perfectly shaped, and looks as though it is the top of a church archway.The village of Espot in Catalonia has two different districts, across the Chapel bridge to the south the church and cobbled streets are less frequented by visitors. The north side of the Pont de la Capella has the tourist accommodations.
