Every December, the Marienplatz plays host to the christmas markets in downtown Munich. A large christmas tree adorns the square and is erected outside the New City Hall (Neues Rathaus).
The Christmas tree which is decorated with many lights that sparkle in the night, is surrounded by market stalls and smells of christmas fill the air - gluehwein, roasted nuts, cinnamon and spices.

I photographed this photo with the digital SLR camera model Canon EOS 5D Mark II, aperture of f/9.0, exposure time of 3/10 sec. on ISO 100, as always I used a original Canon Lens, the focus lenght for this picture was 115mm.
