The circular windows under the octagonal dome of the Florence Duomo in the city of Florence, in the Tuscany region of Italy are each a masterpiece in their own right. The intricate design in marble is beautiful.
The marble comes from local Tuscany towns - the white marble from Carrara, the red from Siena and the green from Prato. The Duomo is a very prominent sight around the skyline of Florence as the dome towers above the rest of the buildings in the city of Florence, Italy.
The architecture of the Duomo was the work of many different artists, taking many years to complete, but one can understand why when viewing the circular window design which encircles the building.

I photographed this photo with the digital SLR camera model Canon EOS-1Ds Mark III, aperture of f/4.5, exposure time of 1/125 sec. on ISO 100, as always I used a original Canon Lens, the focus lenght for this picture was 180mm.
