The Canadian Coast Guard 508 (also known as CCG) returns to their base after carrying out another one of the Coast Guard's many emergency missions on Northern Vancouver Island. In their rigid-hulled inflatable boat, the crew of 508 protects ships and travellers from any unforeseen dangers as well as abundant numbers of search and rescue missions each year on Northern Vancouver Island. The Coast Guard has been a huge asset for Vancouver Islands' maritime past. The Canadian Coast Guard is responsible for watching over more than 243,000 kilometers of coastline in Canada.
