The coastal rainforest in Maquinna Marine Provincial Park is beautiful and lush and green; many people will come through here and walk along the forest boardwalk trails to take in the scenery and nature. This particular boardwalk trail leads to Hot Springs Cove, which is a natural hot springs located on the West Coast of Vancouver Island and many people think the hot water has healing properties.
As this trail winds its way through the forest in Maquinna Marine Provincial Park, the visitor will be able to see many different kinds of plants, trees and species of wildlife without disturbing nature as they will not be stepping directly on the forest floor. It's very important when visiting a forest reserve such as this one that every visitor leaves the area exactly as they found it and following a boardwalk trail such as this one is the best way to do this. ... continue below the picture...
