Dandelions and poppies grow in profusion and the yellow and red make a bright contrast to the olive groves dark trunks and branches. Both of these lovely, colourful wildflowers are considered weeds to many people, but the dandelions attract ladybugs and provides pollen in early spring for bees. The pollen of the red poppy is dark blue or gray.
