Autumn colored trees sway in the breeze in Parc Omega in Montebello, Quebec while a coyote lays upon the grass covered rocks. The coat of the coyote blends in nicely with the changing Autumn season making it very hard to spot them if they are wandering around in the wilderness.
We were able to zoom in on this lone coyote laying beneath the colorful trees as he keeps a close eye on us. The coyote is a beautiful animal which looks a lot like a domestic dog except the ears on a coyote are very pointed and sometimes look to large compared to the size of their heads. They have a long, slender muzzle and when a coyote is standing, their tail droops, unlike dogs.
This coyote is quiet in the wilderness of Parc Omega but coyotes are known to be the most vocal of all North American mammals. Three known calls of a coyote are the squeak, the distress call and the howl which is most often heard during the evening hours. ... continue below the picture...

A visit to Parc Omega in Montebello, Quebec is a fascinating adventure where you drive around a 10 kilometer area while various species of wildlife venture up to your car window. There are a few walking paths that take you through a fenced in area of Parc Omega where you can enjoy a picnic and the children can run free. The wilderness of the park is amazing and the colours are stunning especially when the Autumn colors explode.
