A coypu wanders aimlessly through the wetlands in the Parc Naturel Regional de Camargue in the Provence, France in Europe. The coypu was once only native to South America but is now found in Europe, Asia and North America where it has adapted to subtropical and mild temperature climates.
The coypu in France, Europe looks like a large rat and can grow to be 10-20 pounds in weight, 15-24 inches long and 12-18 inches tall. The coypu will destroy aquatic vegetation, irrigation systems, river banks, make native animals disappear and can carry a parasite that can infect the skin of humans.
The coypu that reside in France, Europe may look like cute little animals but really they are just a bigger version of a rat that can cause a lot of destruction around the marshlands.
