One of the cute puppies (harp seal) on the arctic ice floes of the Gulf of St Lawrence in Canada.
These cute harp seal puppies are also known as "white coats". The scientific name is Phoca groenlandica. In Canada their is a large population in the Atlantic Northwest near Newfoundland and Labrador. The harp seals are commercially hunted since the early 1800's.
