Twenty Bottlenose Dolphins reside in the Dolphinarium at the L'Oceanografic in Valencia, Spain and perform tricks for the trainers and the audience that come to see them. The dolphins are separated into smaller groups for their performances and these four let visitors have a good look at the set of teeth they possess.
How many teeth Bottlenose Dolphins have varies considerably with each individual. The majority of the Bottlenose Dolphins have between twenty to twenty-five teeth per side on the upper jaw and eighteen to twenty-four per side on the lower jaw.
In the wild, the Bottlenose Dolphins feed primarily on fish and occasionally squid or other crustaceans and their teeth are used for grasping their meals. The L'Oceanografic in the City of Valencia in Spain is a fabulous tourist attraction that is enjoyed by the entire family but the kids particularly love to watch the dolphins. There are opportunities available where people can have a close encounter with some of these dolphins and have a chance to actually feel their teeth.
