Photo showing a portrait if a bald eagle with its yellow talons. Each Eagle Talon is powerful, sharp and long, and can exert approximately 1,000 pounds of pressure per square inch in each foot. The eagle talon is used for either holding on to its perch or when it swoops down to pick up fish. The bald eagle can generally carry approx 5 pounds or 2.26 kilograms in its talons.
