Ritten is a sun drenched plateau in South Tyrol which sits at a height of 700 to 2260 meters above sea level. A fascinating sight when visiting the area are the intriguing Earth Pyramids which are situated on the side of a hill. These pyramids are thought to be "left over" from the last ice age, when glaciers which covered the land deposited the materials in which the Earth Pyramids are made from.
