The historic building of the King's Bastion at the Fortress of Louisbourg in Nova Scotia, Canada dates back to the eighteenth century where the grounds surrounding the building were one of the safest places to be when under attack. There is a fort within a fortress where lookout towers and small shelters were always prepared for any emergency situation.
The King's Bastion is the largest area around the fortress, not only the building itself but the grounds as well. Tourists can wander the grounds where they will pass by costumed interpreters playing their parts dating back to the eighteenth century.
