Designed in the Neo-Classical style of architecture by Victoria based architect Sir Francis Mawson Rattenbury, and built in 1906, the Vancouver Art Gallery has been situated in the former Provincial Courthouse since 1983. The facade with it columns is a typical component of the neo-classical design while the dome dates back to Roman times.
