Whale watching around Northern Vancouver Island in British Columbia, Canada is one of the best locations to capture a family portrait of orca. The Northern Resident killer whales are extremely family oriented and are never too far from each other while transient killer whales seen around this area are either alone or in much smaller groups. These magnificent mammals travel the waters around Northern Vancouver Island on a regular basis but are seen more often from July to October.Killer Whales off Northern Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada
