Since 1954, the town of North Rustico in Queens County, PEI became officially incorporated as a municipality and has a population of approximately six hundred people. Most of the locals that reside in North Rustico, leave the harbour every morning and spend their days out on their fishing boats in search of lobsters.
The main industry of North Rustico is fishing with tourism and agriculture following behind. About forty fishing boats moor in this small harbour and prepare for the next days adventure of catching some of the biggest and best lobsters around PEI.
The area around the wharf is kept in immaculate condition as the sides of the dock are painted bright yellow and the buildings are a charming blue shade. This enlightens the harbour and shows how well the townsfolk of North Rustico, PEI keep up with the beauty of their town.
