As sunset takes over the sky in the City of Florence, Tuscany in Italy, Europe, the bridge known as Ponte alla Carraia and the Arno River sparkle in the light.
As the sunset highlights the sky over the City of Florence in the Region of Tuscany in Italy, the golden light reflects off the surface of the Arno River under the middle span of the Ponte alla Carraia. The sun sits in the middle of the clouds that linger across the sky, but the brightness of the sun seems to break through and show off its bright yellow coloring.
The bridge is the oldest that crosses the Arno River after the Ponte Vecchio but it has been replaced several times since its original construction. At one time there was too many spectators on the bridge watching an event on the Arno River causing the bridge to collapse and flooding has also washed away the bridge. Rebuilt in 1559 with five arches, it was once more destroyed by German troops during the Second World War but rebuilding it to its original form was possible.
Historic buildings adorn the banks of the river and during the sunset hours, the light brings out the architecture of the buildings. ... continue below the picture...

I photographed this photo with the digital SLR camera model Canon EOS-1Ds Mark III, aperture of f/4.5, exposure time of 1/125 sec. on ISO 100, as always I used a original Canon Lens, the focus lenght for this picture was 90mm.
