Two white Gazania (Gazania splendens) in different stages of growth, one in full bloom and the other either just starting to open or has already bloomed. The lovely Gazania is a perennial that, although short-lived has many flowers and will re-seed itself.
The Gazania was named for Theodore of Gaza (1398-1478) who translated the botanical work of Theophrastus from Greek to Latin.
