In the late 18th century the Fuerte del Rapitan was constructed atop of the Fuerte del Rapitan Mountain in the city of Jaca and from here you can see for miles across the landscape of Huesca, Aragon. Originally the Fuerte del Rapitan was built for the military to use but now you will see tourists coming here for the view, a culture lesson and the stunning architecture.
This building sits at a height of 1100 meters which is on an upward climb that begins in the city of Jaca in Huesca, Aragon. From here you will have to conquer thirteen hairpins that are tightly stacked until you reach the peak of Fuerte del Rapitan.
Many people like to mountain bike or hike up to this architectural masterpiece but being in fairly decent physical condition is a wise idea.
