Thin wisps of clouds pass in front of the full moon creating a mystical aura as the onset of winter begins to take over the landscape of Churchill.A full moon is a lunar phase that takes place once every calendar month when the moon is located on the opposite of the Earth from the sun, usually happening every 29 or 30 days. The beauty of a full moon is incredible especially during the long, clear winter days around Churchill, Manitoba. Many people believe that strange events happen on these nights, but these stories have never been proven and are considered folklore.Full red moon over the tundra in the Churchill Wildlife Management Area, Hudson Bay, Churchill, Manitoba, Canada.
