This full moon rising above the Coast Mountains of mainland British Columbia is big and bold in the sky and can be seen all over the area of BC. It is quite rare to see a full moon so prominent in the sky as they are often easy to miss in British Columbia due to the frequent rain and cloud cover. Of course full moons happen in different areas of the world at different times as you can see a full moon from earth when the moon is on the opposite side of the earth from the sun. Fillongley Provincial Park is such a great place to see a full moon as it is located right on the coast of Denman Island, so it has an unobstructed view of the Coast Mountains across the waters of the Strait of Georgia. You can camp in the Provincial Park so if you are camping around the full moon you would be able to sit outside your tent, around your fire, and admire how you are seeing an object that is so far away, and yet still so clear from earth.
