There's a magical and enchanting feeling that falls upon visitors as they browse the pretty christmas markets in the historic town of Regensburg - a well preserved medieval town designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Christmas Markets are an annual traditional event held in many cities and villages throughout Germany during December where visitors can browse the stands of unique gifts, handcrafted christmas decorations, and festive food. The aroma of roasted almonds and chestnuts, mixed with the sweet smell of gluehwein (mulled wine) waft in the air above the bustling crowds while choirs sing Christmas hymns.
