Outside the Burggarten in the downtown are of Vienna, Austria, you will find a statue of the famous man known as Johann Wolfgang Goethe. Goethe was born in 1749 and passed away in 1832 and a memorial statue was placed in the Burggarten to honor one of history's greatest geniuses.Johann Wolfgang Goethe was a man that was lucky enough to be born with many talents with some of them being a poet, novelist, humanist, scientist, dramatist and even a minister for the state for ten years. German literature was one of his main talents in the latter part of the 18th century and early into the 19th century. Much of his work became very well known and was a line to hold onto for future enthusiasts in these fields.Goethe has a long list of his lifetime achievements and the inspirational effects they had on people was remarkable. Up until the end of his life in 1832, most of his time was devoted to literature where he died in Weimar and was buried in the Ducal Vault at Weimar's Historical Cemetery. ... continue below the picture...
