Water hazards, sand traps and the rough are three fears of all golfers, so this pond at the Oliva Nova Golf Course in the Costa Blanca in Valencia, Spain, should be avoided if possible - for the ducks sake as well as the golfer. A mother duck cleans herself in the pond, the ducklings leisurely paddle close by and if your shot drops in to the pond, trying to scoop it out is a lost cause.
The golf course was designed by Severiano Ballesteros and there are only three holes (2, 13 and 14) which do not have some kind of water hazard. There are a variety of holes including doglegs and it is rated as a fairly challenging course.
