This unique stone church sits along the shores of Lake Tekapo on the South Island of NZ and people that attend this church can enjoy the view overlooking the lake from the inside. Stained glass is not needed in the Church of the Good Shepherd as the clear glass windows provides a much better view than the stained glass would.The Church of the Good Shepherd along Lake Taupo in NZ was starting to be built in 1935 when the foundation was laid and seven months later the church opened. It was made of lakeside stone and oak so that it would last for years to come, which has proven true as the building is still a solid structure today.There are still services held in the Church of the Good Shepherd in NZ at least once a month for the locals of the community. The community makes sure that the church is kept clean, all the maintenance of the grounds and the interior are kept up to date and a caretaker has been hired to do any repairs that are needed. ... continue below the picture...
