Rows and rows of grape vines at the Domaine de Grand Pre flourish with grapes as they ripen to perfection to be used in making some of the finest Nova Scotia wines. Each bunch of grapes has been tested over the years and this winery has created a line of unique variations of wines that can only be made in the Maritime area.At the Domaine de Grand Pre vineyard, specialty types of grapes are grown that are only accustomed to grow properly in the climate and landscape of Nova Scotia. The protected valleys and hillsides at this vineyard have cooler temperatures that extend into late October which gives the grapes a longer period of time to ripen which in turn creates some of the finest flavour found in a wine grape.The owner of the Domaine de Grand Pre has been operating for fourteen years as he saw great potential in the landscape and it has paid off extremely well for him.
