The grapes that can be seen growing on this vine at the Domaine de Grand Pre vineyard in Grand Pre are used to make wine from the oldest winery in all of Atlantic Canada. This vineyard can be found just off of Evangeline Trail in the Minas Basin in the Bay of Fundy in Nova Scotia. As this is the oldest winery in this area it has a lot of history and was in production before Niagara Falls was even considered a popular Canadian tourist destination.
