A full grown adult horse, identified with its yellow collar and bell around its neck, spends the day in the sunshine at Bonaigua Pass in Catalonia, Spain grazing in the meadows. Bonaigua Pass sits at 2,072 metres in the Pyrenees mountain range where these horses roam free enjoying the mountain air where they have adapted to the high altitude and the warm temperatures during the summer.
As people hike across the Bonaigua Pass in Catalonia, many of these free range horses can be seen grazing in the meadows along with cows who also reside in this mountain pass. The winter months can become fairly cold for an adult horse, but they have easily become accustomed to the changing climates.
