When given orders by the commanding officer, the soldiers will light the cannon gun and the firing of the gun will be carried out at the Fortress of Louisbourg in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. Two uniformed soldiers stand in position beside the cannon gun while the third soldier lights the gun.
A loud blast explodes out of the cannon gun giving visitors to the fortress a demonstration of how things were done when under attack. Visitors should be warned that the firing of the gun is fairly loud, so for those who are sensitive to loud noises, be prepared to cover your ears.
